Our Staff
Meet the swim team.
All STRIDE swim instructors are First Aid/CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator) certified, for which they received individualized training based on guidelines and updates from the American Heart Association.
STRIDE swim instructors also receive sexual harassment training, mandated reporter training and undergo mandatory background checks.
Our instructors are also trained in infant self-rescue, and many are lifeguard-certified.

Hi, I'm Yani! I have been a swim instructor since 2020. I'm currently in school to obtain my bachelors degree in criminal justice and my associates degree in childcare. I have always loved the water and I've always loved children, and assisting them with so many different daily activities that help them become who they are. I can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Hi my name is Coach Jana (that's me upper left and my family) I was raised in Hawaii and Rhode Island always near an ocean and most summer days my family spent our time at the beach. Once or twice a week my mom would announce it's time for swim lessons. The skills I learned from my coaches shaped my entire life. As an adult I became a red cross lifeguard/swim Coach and managed a community pool in Boston plus now i swim regularly for fitness. It is my passion to share water safety and skills with others!
